- JRF: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Botany), selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) or GATE, or through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments, agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER and NISER. Project Associate-I: Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Botany, for candidates without NET/GATE or any other national eligibility test.

- JRF: ₹37,000 per month plus HRA; Project Associate-I: ₹25,000 per month plus HRA
