- Essential Qualification for JRF: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Botany) selected through: 1. Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 2. Selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc. Essential Qualification for Project Associate-I: Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Botany (for candidates without NET/GATE or any other National Eligibility Tests). Desirable Qualification: Experience in crop genetics and breeding, field and laboratory experimentation, with a preference for research experience in marker assisted selection, molecular biology, statistical analysis etc.

- JRF: Rs. 37,000 per month; PA-I: Rs. 25,000 + HRA per month
