28 of 53 lessons are taught in software - AutoCAD (24), SketchUp (3) and BIM (1). That is the deliberate half: you already know, or will quickly learn, what grows where. The course spends most of its time on turning that into a plan someone can build from.
- The 11 tests are 8 unit tests spread through the blocks and 3 final assessment tests at the end.

- Choose plant and hardscape components, and arrange them by the principles of design
- Recognise the major garden styles - Mughal, Japanese, English, Persian and more
- Set up, draw, organise and export a landscape plan in AutoCAD
- Model the design in 3D in SketchUp and export images for a client
What you need
Before you start
- A phone or a PC to watch the lessons - both work.
- A laptop or desktop to practise the AutoCAD and SketchUp lessons alongside the video. A lesson walks you through getting the AutoCAD student version.
- Basic English. Lessons are taught in simple English.
